Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) released a public statement endorsing Iran’s missile strikes on U.S. military targets and calling for the dismantling of both the United States and Israel.

The statement defends Iran’s “right” to nuclear weapons and portrays the Islamic Republic as a legitimate actor resisting what the group labels “Western imperialism.”

SJP accused the United States of carrying out an “unprovoked attack” on Iran’s nuclear facilities while simultaneously justifying Iran’s use of regional proxy forces.

The group’s statement concludes with a call to fight “Zionism and imperialism through revolutionary socialism,” aligning their mission with the ideological goals of Iran’s anti-Western regime.

The declaration follows Iran’s June 23 missile strike on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a direct response to President Trump’s June 22 order authorizing strikes on Iran’s key nuclear sites. The group’s language raised alarms as it echoed propaganda from foreign adversaries rather than expressing concern for U.S. servicemembers or regional stability.

SJP chapters are active on more than 350 college campuses. Their open support for Iran’s military aggression and nuclear ambitions has renewed debate over the role of politically charged student organizations. Critics argue that groups advocating the end of America should not benefit from university resources or recognition.

Several states have taken steps to limit or ban SJP chapters, citing ties to radical ideology and support for terrorist-affiliated movements. The group’s latest statement is likely to intensify calls for further action at both the state and federal levels.
