Judge Allows Family of Boulder Terror Suspect to be Deported
U.S. District Court Judge Orlando Garcia has permitted the family of the Boulder, Colorado, terror suspect to be deported.
Garcia dismissed the Soliman family’s efforts to block their removal from the United States, saying he “lacks jurisdiction to grant Petitioners the relief they seek,” court documents state.

“The Court hastens to remind Petitioners that they still have an avenue for seeking their release from detention while their removal proceedings continue,” the filing notes. “As alluded to above, the regulations promulgated pursuant to the INA prescribe administrative procedures for obtaining relief from discretionary detention.”
“[T]he Court finds that Petitioners’ habeas proceeding and their claims in this case must be and hereby are DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE,” Garcia declared. “This case is CLOSED.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) praised the decision, with Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin saying, “This is a proper end to an absurd legal effort on the plaintiff’s part. Just like her terrorist husband, she and her children are here illegally and are rightfully in ICE custody for removal as a result. This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We are investigating to what extent his family knew about this heinous attack, if they had knowledge of it, or if they provided support to it.”
Mohamed Sabry Soliman currently faces more than 70 charges, including first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and committing a hate crime.
Following the incident, Soliman’s wife and five children were taken into ICE custody.

Soliman targeted a pro-Israel group near Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall, arriving with homemade Molotov cocktails, and set victims on fire while shouting “Free Palestine” and anti-Israel rhetoric. Eight people were injured, and investigators recovered 14 more Molotov cocktails near the scene. Court documents reveal Soliman expressed no remorse and would carry out the attack again if given the chance.
