Cosmic Explosion? Scientists Provide New Details On How the World Could End
Is it feasible to believe that our world could come crashing down through an unexpected, colossal event?
According to the Daily Mail, scientists have recently determined the likelihood of the Milky Way having a collision with Andromeda galaxy. If this were to happen, earth would be swallowed in the middle of this impact.

The Durham University researchers have determined that we have a “50/50 chance of our galaxy colliding with Andromeda within the next 10 billion years.”
If this were to occur, the event would happen at 220,00 miles per hour, making it “devastating” for the galaxy.
As with all news and possibilities that we hear of, we must use biblical discernment when it comes to how we react to these findings.
The Bible speaks of a time when the heavens themselves will be shaken. In Luke 21:26, Jesus foretells of days when “men’s hearts [will] fail them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” And in 2 Peter 3:10, Scripture warns, “The heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”
However, those who trust in Christ should not fear. Jesus Himself said, “See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet” (Matt. 24:6). When Jesus does descend to earth for His Second Coming, be sure that His bride, the church, will safely be in His hands for all eternity.

The world may be fragile. Scientific predictions may sound grim. But God’s Word assures believers that our hope is anchored in something eternal. So rather than live in fear of what could happen in the cosmos, let us live in faith—prepared, steadfast and full of hope in Christ, who holds the universe in His hands.
